The “Gardens of Gaza” is a project to counter the general apathy currently present in our society regarding the Genocide. Due to its passive nature, the project becomes the first act of resistance that cannot possibly instigate a negative response by any political policies of Pakistan. By embedding literal roots for Palestinians in Pakistani soil, it becomes a physical, visible, and living pact of our abiding attachment to them.

We aim to plant 1000 trees in Pakistani soil in the month of August. These Gardens of Gaza will become landmarks for our future generations, reminding them of the dysfunctional colonial-imperial relationship we continue to challenge today.

We are starting these Gardens by planting the first 100 trees at the UMT on the 17th of August 2024. We will be planting Olive, Neem, Jamun, Amrood, Amaltaas, Pilkan, Kikar, Sukhchayn, Bottle brush, and Bakain.

Each tree costs Rs. 400/-. If you would like to join us in person or donate money for this cause please let us know by the 16th of August 2024.
